About The Position

The Student Health & Wellness Center provides short-term mental health services to registered students. This position is responsible for providing direct mental health services for students. This position provides crisis intervention, outreach, develops, administers, coordinates, evaluates and promotes mental health and wellness services. Examples of essential functions are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from accredited institution in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, family and child counseling, or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid license in the state of California as a marriage and Family Therapist ( LMFT ), Licensed Social Worker ( LCSW ), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor ( LPCC ), Licensed clinical Psychologist, PsyD, and/or PhD psychology.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years minimum recent experience as mental health provider.
  • College Health experience a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and/or community leaders in programs and initiatives that are specifically designed to assist historically underrepresented students achieve their educational goals.
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring equity, diversity, and inclusion are effectively addressed in any of the following areas: budgetary or planning processes, human resources, leadership development, professional development, implementing culturally responsive curricular or cocurricular activities or programs, hiring practices, student support services, and information services.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion into the duties and responsibilities for this position.
  • Experience assisting and promoting the growth and success of a diverse population of students and employees through the development of interculturally competent and equity minded practices or initiatives.
