Under the supervision of the BCU Coordinator, serves as a licensed, master's level professional clinician performing a wide range of direct and indirect mental health and co-occurring substance abuse services within the Bridges Crisis Unit (BCU). In conjunction with the BCU Coordinator, will provide clinical oversight to the BCU program, ensuring relevant and ethical therapeutic interventions, groups, and activities are conducted during consumers’ crisis bed stay. Ensures proper training and support to bachelor’s level clinicians and paraprofessionals. Assesses and takes the lead in clinical processes such as admission referral review, clinical consultations with other service providers within CMHA-CEI, and any treatment planning related meetings. Addresses challenging behaviors and emotional trauma by interviewing and observing consumers, reviewing appropriate records, and developing a specific treatment plan, often using a strength-based model. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
