About The Position

Mental Health Technician works under direct supervision to provide clerical and patient care activities in the treatment and care of patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions. Manages behavioral problems and facilitates education. Actively participates as a member of the treatment team and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with one year experience within a behavioral health or hospital setting or any combination of education and related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and restore patients' health by completing the assuring patient safety
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Provide physical and psychological support to patients
• Provide continuous patient care, interaction, and role modeling to patients
• Provide clerical and patient care activities in the treatment and care of patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions.
• Manage behavioral problems
• Facilitate education
• Actively participate as a member of the treatment team
• Perform other duties as assigned
