About The Position
Springwoods Behavioral Health is an affiliated 80-bed acute care behavioral health facility located in Northwest Arkansas and has been providing quality health care to the residents Northwest Arkansas since 2009. Our mission is simple but profound: to provide compassionate, comprehensive and effective care to individuals facing mental health crises for ages 8 and up. Our Mental Health Technician's promote and restore patients' health by completing the assuring patient safety, collaborating multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients. The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, interaction, and role modeling to patients. Position Summary: The Mental Health Technician works under direct supervision to provide clerical and patient care activities in the treatment and care of patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions. Manages behavioral problems and facilitates education. Actively participates as a member of the treatment team and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with one year experience within a behavioral health or hospital setting or any combination of education and related experience preferred.
