About The Position

The Mental Health Technician MHT provides direct patient care. Assists in maintaining medical records, monitoring patient interactions and safety as well as clerical support, patient data collection and performing medical procedures under the direction of an RN utilizing knowledge of verbal and non-verbal communication skills to provide targeted therapeutic interventions with patients. The Mental Health Technician works in harmony with the nursing staff to provide care for our patients. In addition, the Mental Health Technician is responsible for:

Requirements

High School diploma required
In general 1 yr. equivalent work experience in psychiatric/addictive disease treatment facility
Must be CPR certified
Must have a reliable source of transportation
