MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN - FULL-TIME EVENING SHIFT 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Position Summary: The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision and role modeling to our patients.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent. College degree a plus.
- Willing to train the right individual that has a passion for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and addiction disorders.
- Hours: 40 hours/week. Evening shift (2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.) Must be able to work rotating weekends.
- May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

- Experience working with children and adolescents a plus.
Responsibilities
- Orient patient to unit and program.
- Carry out teaching activities identified in the treatment plan under the supervision of the nurse in charge.
- Provide continuous patient care and assist patients in all areas.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries complying with established training program.
- Demonstrate responsibility for observation of patients at all times.
- Assist patient with activities of daily living.
- Practice universal precautions and environment safety guidelines.
