Maintenance Technician I - 2nd Shift (2:30-11:00 pm)
About The Position
The Maintenance Technician I (2nd Shift, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm), under supervision, performs preventative maintenance and basic repair of Emergency Services Training Institute (ESTI) fire field training props. This position is responsible for performing minor building maintenance and repair requests. This position may also be required to support other programs. This position reports to the Maintenance Foreman. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of maintenance experience such as: Basic electrical, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, basic equipment operation, building trades, or construction experience to include any combination of the following: welding, pipefitting, plumbing, concrete, basic electrical, carpentry, heavy equipment operation, and use of hand/power tools.
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Completes listed out-sourced training as available to include (within 6 months): ESTI Safety Orientation, Skid Steer Loader, Forklift, Material Handler, Man Lift, Iron Worker, Riding Mowers, and Mule.
- Obtains listed certifications as available to include (within 18 months): 24-hour welding, LPG Installation, DOT Cylinder Filling.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventative maintenance on ESTI fire field training props.
- Performs basic repair of ESTI fire field training props.
- Performs minor building maintenance and repair requests.
- Supports other programs as required.
