Mental Health Technician / Driver Location: High Focus Centers – Paoli, PA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (approximately) Pay Range: 17-18 per hour depending on experience. High Focus Centers, formerly Onward Behavioral Health, is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team in Paoli. We are committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals and families impacted by substance use, mental health conditions, and eating disorders. With a long-standing reputation for excellence in outpatient behavioral health treatment across eastern Pennsylvania, High Focus Centers is a trusted resource for both adolescents and adults. Position Overview As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment for our clients. This position involves direct client interaction and behind-the-scenes support to ensure daily programming runs smoothly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health-related field
  • Experience in mental health treatment

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, observe, and interact with clients in a supportive and professional manner.
  • Transport clients to and from programming.
  • Provide assistance to clinical and program staff as needed.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment, including assisting in crisis interventions when necessary.
  • Support implementation of treatment plans by reinforcing therapeutic goals.
  • Communicate effectively with staff through verbal updates and written documentation (e.g., email).
  • Attend team meetings, site meetings, and monthly staff calls.
  • Complete all required trainings and certifications.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new Mental Health Technicians.
  • Observe and report behavioral and emotional needs to the clinical team.
  • Assist in client interventions when appropriate.
  • Orient new clients to the program and daily schedule.
  • Perform clerical and support tasks, such as stocking program supplies and coordinating needs with the PHP lead.
  • Apply basic knowledge of substance use and/or mental health treatment approaches.
  • Engage with clients during meals and downtime to promote a supportive community environment.
  • Ensure clients are appropriately supervised at all times.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and foster a positive therapeutic atmosphere.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
