Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Mental Health Specialist III in the Residential Department within Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare. The primary purpose of the Mental Health Specialist III is to ensure the safety of residents and assist them in carrying out activities of daily living. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Assumes individual service coordination responsibilities for individuals served. Provides input into the development of the Individualized Rehabilitation Plan ( IRP ). Maintains consumer resident’s records. Documents events occurring on shift as per supervisory directive. Maintains knowledge of UBHC and Unit policies and procedures. Demonstrates awareness of relevant organization and residential policies, procedures and requirements. Maintains a cooperative working relationship with others. Demonstrates respect to supervisory feedback to enhance performance skills. Demonstrates commitment to the mission and goals of unit. Effectively contributes to and supports an environment that enhances the positive self-image of consumer/resident and preserves their human dignity. Understands and adheres to Rutgers’ compliance standards as they appear in RBHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Performs other related duties as assigned.
