About The Position

Under the supervision of the Program Director, The Mental Health Professional provides high-quality mental health services to individuals navigating barriers to employment, personal well-being, and social stability. The ideal candidate is a licensed clinician (LMSW, LCSW and LMHC) who brings a deep understanding of trauma, resilience, and the social determinants of health that impact workforce readiness and long-term success. This role will provide both individual counseling and facilitate group sessions, using evidence-based practices that promote healing, self-efficacy, and behavioral wellness. Services are delivered in collaboration with the case managers, Workshop facilitators and other support staff to ensure integrated care and continuity of service.

Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
  • The mental health professional would have at least three (3) years of successful and relevant supervisory experience and experience in mental health counseling
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, CBT, and strengths-based approaches.
  • Experience facilitating therapeutic or psychoeducational groups.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage a diverse client population with empathy and cultural humility.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and case management systems.
  • Experience working with individuals with histories of homelessness, incarceration, substance use, or long-term unemployment.
  • May require occasional evening hours to accommodate client availability.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (e.g., Spanish/English) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive individual therapy focused on emotional wellness, behavioral health, and barriers to employment.
  • Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational group sessions that address topics such as trauma recovery, emotional regulation, stress management, coping skills, and motivation for change.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized service plans in alignment with clients’ mental health and employment goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to integrate clinical insight into overall service planning and program development.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with agency and licensing standards.
  • Provide crisis intervention and ongoing risk assessment as needed.
  • Participate in case conferences, supervision, and team meetings to support coordinated client care.
  • Support ongoing program evaluation and improvement, offering insights based on clinical engagement and outcomes.
  • Remain current on best practices in trauma treatment, mental health care, and vocational rehabilitation through continuing education and professional development.
