We are currently seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor/Therapist to join our team and contribute to our mission of improving the mental health of our community. As a Mental Health Counselor/Therapist, you will provide individual, family, and group therapy to clients experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. You will work collaboratively with clients to develop treatment plans, set goals, and facilitate progress toward improved mental health outcomes. This role demands strong clinical skills, empathy, and the ability to create a supportive and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Valid license to practice as a Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential in Pennsylvania.
Strong understanding of a variety of therapeutic modalities and approaches.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Compassionate, empathetic demeanor with a strong desire to support and empower clients.
Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 2 years of experience providing therapeutic services in a clinical setting is preferred.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on clients’ needs and goals.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions in individual, group, and family settings.
Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and any relevant case notes in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Collaborate with other mental health professionals, healthcare providers, and community organizations to coordinate care and enhance client support.
Offer crisis intervention and support to clients in acute distress or experiencing emergencies.
Facilitate psychoeducation sessions and provide resources to clients and their families.
Stay informed about best practices in mental health care and engage in continuous professional development.
Ensure confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of practice at all times.
