About The Position

The Youth and Family Outpatient team at North Range Behavioral Health partners with children, adolescents, and their families to support healing, growth, and resilience. Through compassionate, evidence-based, and family-centered care, the program helps youth navigate mental health and substance use challenges while building the skills needed for lasting, positive change. Services include individual, family, and group therapy, along with case management, skills training, and crisis support. The team works collaboratively with families and community partners to address complex needs, strengthen coping strategies, and promote health decision-making. Care is holistic and integrated, ensuring coordination with physical health providers. The Youth and Family outpatient team supports youth experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use, with a strong focus on helping them build emotional regulation, life skills, and confidence as they transition toward adulthood. Using strengths based and non-judgmental approaches, clinicians empower both youth and families to create sustainable progress and healthier futures. This position includes eligibility for a monthly performance bonus.

Requirements

  • Have a Masters Degree in a Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Addictions Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, or other relevant clinical degree from an accredited college of university.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
  • Can successfully complete pre-employment screening, including background check, fingerprinting, and drug and TB testing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered assessment, goal planning, and treatment for mental health and/or substance use issues.
  • Provide screening, intakes, and assessment of clients utilizing required instruments and formats within appropriate timelines.
  • Develop strength-based written treatment plans/updates and continuing care plans and make appropriate referrals.
  • Complete written discharge summaries and correspondence within established timelines.
  • Assist individuals in improving their well-being and quality of life by training in behavioral skills; educate clients to make information choices; develop client coping skills; help clients to solve problems and negotiate tasks of daily living.
  • Maintain electronic health records in accordance with agency standards; confirm coding of services rendered is ethically appropriate and results in successful billing.
  • Learn, utilize, and support fidelity of any evidence-based practices within assigned program to ensure effective interventions with clints.
