Our evidence-based, culturally appropriate, trauma informed behavioral health services address the diverse needs of those we serve. The Intensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program for Adolescents (IDBT-A) is a 6-12 month skill-based therapy program for adolescents who struggle with complex and pervasive emotion-based problems. The program offers education and treatment in regulating emotions, tolerating distress, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindful awareness. The IDBT Program includes the four components of comprehensive DBT: Individual therapy, skills training groups, time-limited phone coaching and DBT consultation team. The Adolescent program also includes skills training for family members and monthly family therapy. In this position, you will provide trauma-informed, person-centered, evidence-based therapy to clients served within an FBH outpatient program. Support the Behavioral Health Specialist as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic interventions, implement recovery care plans, provide client education, advocate on behalf of clients and conduct risk assessments while measuring client progress toward established goals and objectives in virtual, office, or community-based settings.

Requirements

Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field from accredited college or university.
Must apply for a Counselor Agency Affiliated – Registered credential from the WA State Department of Health within 30 days of hire.
Must have an unrestricted and valid driver’s license, active car insurance and must be willing to use their personal vehicle in the course of work.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience providing clinical behavioral health services.
Knowledge of service delivery models including groups, skills training, brief/focused therapy, community-based intervention for children and/or adults with serious and persistent mental health diagnoses.
Knowledge of Washington Administrative Codes and statutes pertaining to the treatment and delivery of mental health services.
Knowledge of and experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy modalities.
Ability to communicate and engage effectively with individuals of varied backgrounds, traumatic experiences, cultures, education level and socio-economic status.

Responsibilities

Provide episodic, trauma-informed, person-centered therapy utilizing evidence-based practices.
Maintain client records and all other required documentation in a timely and confidential manner, in accordance with agency policies and practices.
When required by the outpatient program, MHC IIs who hold a credential (i.e., L-AAC, LMHCA, LMFTA, LICSWA) eligible to be a Mental Health Professionals will provide initial intake assessments for persons seeking services at FBH to determine individual meets medical necessity and eligibility for FBH outpatient services. Involves comprehensive assessments, preliminary diagnoses, and treatment recommendations for both youth and adults. Involves completing Consent to Release Confidential Information with the client and guardians, when appropriate, for any current and past behavioral health treatment, involved allied service provider, and natural supports. Intakes should be completed concurrently with the client. Accurately determine the program assignment for individuals who are enrolled.
Conduct risk assessments, develop and implement safety plans, and provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed, including facilitating access to inpatient facilities for behavioral health care.
Facilitate and co-facilitate client treatment groups.
Represent the agency and its services to the community in a positive and professional manner.
Participate in required staff meetings, including regular supervision and weekly clinical staff meetings.
Participate in any required training, consultation calls, and onsite visits or reviews when required by contract.
Accept delegation and follow through with specific expanded assignments and responsibilities within FBH system such as quality improvements teams, task groups, committees, consultations, mentoring or training responsibilities.
Include the client’s support network and applicable involved community partners in treatment and any applicable care coordination.
Coordinate with treatment team regarding treatment progress and discharge planning and operate as a member of multi-disciplinary team providing services in the community, virtually, and clinical setting in compliance with any treatment models.
Meet productivity standards in accordance with agency program guidelines.
Operate as a member of multi-disciplinary team and ensure services are provided in the community, virtually, and clinical setting in compliance with any treatment models.
May be assigned to supervise interns.
Maintain professional credentials, including continuing education as applicable.
Requires travel between various FBH work sites on a regular or daily basis.
Other duties as assigned.
