As a Mental Health Associate (MHA) in our inpatient programs, you’ll be a vital part of the treatment team—supporting patients during critical moments in their mental health journey and helping create a safe, therapeutic environment where healing can begin. This role is well-suited for individuals who are empathetic, resilient, and motivated by purposeful, hands-on work. Mental Health Associates work directly with patients of all ages within Brook Lane’s inpatient units. You’ll collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and providers to support treatment plans and ensure patient safety, dignity, and engagement in care. Each shift brings variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a real difference. This is an active, on-site role that requires both physical and emotional engagement: You will be on your feet and moving throughout most of your shift Some desk and documentation work is required You may need to lift or carry up to 40 pounds, as needed Patients may experience emotional or behavioral escalations; you’ll respond with calm, empathy, and safety awareness You may assist with physical interventions when necessary to ensure safety A valid driver’s license is required, as patient transport using company vehicles may be part of the role Brook Lane is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
