May also sew on items such as name patches, labels or embroidery. Performs other tasks as required. Requirements

  • Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
  • Recognize, inspect and grade product.
  • Efficiently and with a high degree of skill, sew and safely operate sewing, labeling or patching machinery.
  • Comprehend and follow written packing instructions.
  • Comprehend and follow direction.

Responsibilities

  • Grasp textiles from a cart/bin then sort, inspect and grade according to production repair standards.
  • Safely and with skill operate machinery for patches, labels or stitching.
  • Process textiles according to type and written instructions.
  • Return repaired textiles back into service.
  • Continuously meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
  • Follow instructions as directed by supervision.
  • Keep work area neat and clean.
  • Perform other tasks as required.
  • Perform other production tasks as needed.
