About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a full-time Memory Care Director for The Boulevard Wentzville in Wentzville, Missouri. This role involves ensuring the Memory Care team upholds Arrow Senior Living's core values, managing the selection, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members in accordance with community standards and regulations. The Director will also implement and manage Memory Care programs and services to promote residents' physical, social, and psychological well-being, and oversee the personalized care needs of memory care residents, as well as family member requests. Arrow Senior Living manages 34 senior living communities across 6 states (Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Arkansas) and employs nearly 2,200 individuals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or general education degree.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience and knowledge of theories and practices related to the care of persons living with dementia or in a related field with transferable knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with Residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about Residents.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Comfortable working primarily indoors, with potential requirement to work outside for events, transportation, or assisting residents to and from vehicles.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in a related field.
  • Leadership experience as a Director in a specialized dementia program.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Memory Care team members embrace responsibility of anticipating the needs of residents and maintaining a spirit of hospitality and professionalism in accordance with Arrow Senior Living core values.
  • Ensure adherence to community standards, policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations when selecting, onboarding, and providing ongoing training for team members.
  • Implement and manage Memory Care programs and services to promote and maintain the highest practicable level of physical, social, and psychological wellbeing for residents living with dementia diagnoses.
  • Assemble, catalogue, and manage the personalized care needs of memory care neighborhood residents as well as the requests and expectations of family members.
