About The Position

Discovery Place is hiring a Temporary Membership Sales Associate to help grow our member base and keep current members engaged. This role combines direct sales with phone and email outreach to prospects and existing members. The Temporary Membership Assistant’s primary responsibility will be to manager customer correspondence via the membership phone line and the membership email in-box. provide forward-facing, on-site customer service to Discovery Place Members. Additionally, they will be responsible for processing memberships in our database.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to provide excellent and prompt customer service to the general public and Discovery Place Members
  • Ability to analyze data and utilize information to inform decision-making
  • Ability to communicate clearly with members
  • Ability to persuasively articulate the benefits of membership to non-members
  • Ability to work both as a team member and autonomously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, results-oriented environment
  • Ability to work weekends is required
  • Must be able to follow policies and procedures; Complete administrative tasks correctly and on time.
  • Must be able to lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
  • Must have valid driver’s license to be able to drive to off-site locations on occasion
  • Walking, standing and sitting during the day at various locations

Responsibilities

  • Answer and respond to customer inquiries received through the Membership phone-line and Membership email within 24 hours.
  • Work as a team member in concert with other Membership Associates and Assistants to ensure processing and mailing of new and renewed memberships in a timely manner
