Requirements

High school diploma or GED required with some college credit preferred.
One years experience in a credit card and/or consumer loan collection environment.
Two years experience in an office environment, preferably in a financial institution.

Responsibilities

Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls to customers to establish payment arrangements on past due credit card and installment loans.
Document all collection activities in a concise and accurate manner utilizing available systems and tools.
Work to reduce delinquency past due credit cards.
Perform skip-tracing activities.
Identify and report collection related issues to supervisor.
Prepare supporting documents required on legal and repossessed accounts.
Work to recover charged-off credit cards.
Maintains working relationships with the customer, to resolve specific cardholder issues.
Reviews reason for delinquency and proposes payment program to assist member.
