The Member Services Specialist is responsible for embodying the Credit Union’s core values, utilizing consultative selling techniques to address members' financial needs, and making sales referrals. This role involves proactively making outbound sales calls, opening and modifying membership and business accounts, and performing paying and receiving transactions. The specialist may also represent the credit union at community events and local businesses. Key aspects include strong knowledge of consumer and small business deposit accounts, compliance, regulatory requirements, and consumer lending products, including home equity and credit report interpretation. The position requires a professional image, the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
