About The Position

As a Member Services Specialist at The Adirondack Club, you are the heart of our front desk and a key team member in the Club experience. You’ll provide exceptional service to both members and guests while maintaining the smooth and professional operation of our front desk. Your in-depth knowledge of our memberships, programs, and services allows you to confidently answer questions, solve problems, and deliver a welcoming first impression. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service, hospitality, fitness, or front desk/reception role required.
  • Proficiency with computers and software, including Microsoft programs.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Flexibility to take on varying daily responsibilities
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule occasionally including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with billing, account management, or front desk operations is a plus
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and/or membership or CRM software is a plus
  • Familiarity with our programs and passion for a healthy lifestyle make for the most authentic and impactful team members.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Check in members, verify active memberships, and manage guest and non-member check-ins.
  • Accurately process payments and manage outstanding account balances.
  • Enter new membership contracts and handle membership changes and updates.
  • Operate a multi-line phone system and respond to inquiries with clarity and care.
  • Provide guided tours of the Club, highlighting amenities and supporting membership sales.
  • Address member questions or concerns with thoughtful solutions and knowledgeable insights into our offerings.
  • Ensure the front desk area remains clean, organized, and stocked with current Club materials and information.
  • Assist department directors with administrative tasks and communications.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute positively to team discussions.
  • Help onboard and train new team members.
  • Assist with supporting other directors when needed.
  • Understand and consistently follow Club policies and procedures.
