About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Member Services Manager, the Member Services Coordinator supports the administration of General Welfare Distribution programs and provides direct assistance to Wilton Rancheria Tribal Citizens. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant program delivery while serving as a primary point of contact for member inquiries, referrals, and support services. The coordinator performs a variety of administrative, clerical, and customer service functions in a professional, culturally responsive, and confidential manner, including assisting with special projects and providing support to the Enrollment Office.

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two (2) years of experience providing high-quality program services.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, transportation, and insurance.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able and willing to travel as required for training, meetings, and other official Tribal business.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted California driver’s license and be insurable under Wilton Rancheria’s auto insurance requirements.

  • Knowledge of Tribal communities, specifically the Wilton Rancheria Tribal community (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Respond to member inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional, timely, and culturally appropriate manner.
  • Assist with Legal Aid Program for Tribal Citizens.
  • Assist with planning annual Tribal events and programs, as well as other assigned events.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve issues related to General Welfare and Per Capita payments, including discrepancies or eligibility concerns.
  • Maintains an accurate database of Tribal Citizen contact information, including email, phone, and address.
  • Assists with gathering data and information for program reports.
  • Assist with special projects and provide support to the Enrollment Office.
  • Supports the general welfare distributions, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards.
  • Review and process General Welfare applications.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, special meetings, and professional development trainings.
  • Handles routine office duties such as filing, sorting, copying, shredding, and faxing.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all Tribal Citizen information, records, and communications per Tribal laws, internal policies, and ethical standards.
  • Prepare and process income verifications, member in good standing letters, and 1099 distributions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
