About The Position

The Coordinator of Member Services and Events will assist with the management and operations of University Recreation + Wellness membership, reservations, and personnel. This position is responsible for supervision of the facility staff, including hiring, developing, training, and evaluating over 60 part-time student employees. Additional responsibilities of this position include membership and operation assistance with UREC facilities, scheduling, fiscal responsibilities, and event management. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Previous experience in recreation, collegiate/recreational sports, gym or facility operations, aquatics, or member services
  • At least one year of work experience related to this position
  • Must obtain an American Red Cross AED/CPR/First Aid certification within 45 days of hire
  • Supervisory experience of student staff
  • Knowledge of best practices in recreation and reservation management
  • Knowledge of facility management software
  • Knowledge of risk management procedures
  • Skilled in organization and time management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to prioritize and meet stated deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • At least two years experience in recreation, collegiate/recreational sports, administrative work, experience in aquatics programming, member services, or facility operations
