About The Position

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: The Hills, set outside of East Quogue, New York. The Hills is seeking a seasonal Member Services Coordinator to join the Member Services Department. This role is available April 20, 2026 – October 7th, 2026. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Requirements

  • At least six (6) months of guest-service experience in a high-volume environment at a restaurant, resort, or private club.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate computer and communication platforms.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts greater than eight (8) hours.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
  • Background check will be performed at the expense of the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, welcoming environment to members and guests.
  • Provide exceptional service to members/guests and team members.
  • Initiates interaction with Members, guests, and prospective Members to obtain and disperse any relevant information.
  • Be knowledgeable of trusted local area vendors, stores, and services to recommend to members/guests.
  • Create itineraries and coordinate transportation needs, reservations, and activities for members, guests, and visitors and with appropriate departments.
  • Meet, guide, and assist members/guests upon arrival and departure.
  • Create or provide reports and files related to the department, including daily reports on onsite activity and up-to-date 10-day forecast of visits and special requests.
  • Know the member roster and keep up-to-date notes on all preferences, information, and anything pertinent.
  • Interact with other departments to meet member, guest, and prospective member requests.
  • Coordinate hotel reservations as needed by the manager.
  • Assist with kid’s camp activities and any other childcare requests.
  • Filter dining requests through to the F&B managers and/or hostesses.
  • Help plan and execute events as needed throughout the season.
  • Promote activities and events advertised on the seasonal entertainment calendar.
  • Help coordinate live entertainment and vendors' arrival, set up, and departure.
  • Answer phones and direct calls to the proper department.
  • Communicate closely with residential services regarding check-ins and check-outs.
  • Assist in the hotel operation as needed, including cleanliness, amenities, repair requests, room service requests, and other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Any interaction with scheduled activities is limited to supportive, guest-assistance tasks, such as welcoming attendees, assisting with schedules, or relaying requests to the appropriate department; not planning, organizing, or managing scheduled activities.
