The Member Service Specialist is primarily responsible for processing member transactions and providing a variety of member services in an accurate, efficient, and courteous manner. This role also involves promoting credit union products and services and maintaining proper control of assigned cash, correspondence, transactions, and credit union documents. The specialist provides assistance and support to the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager in branch deposit, lending, and security operations. A key aspect of this position is providing leadership, technical guidance, and training to Member Service Associate staff members. Essential duties include conducting loan interviews and processing loan applications and documentation, executing member transactions and providing general information, actively promoting credit union products and services, maintaining proper control of assigned cash and documents, maintaining a neat and organized work area, and attending all required staff meetings and training sessions.
