We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Member Service Representative I (MSR I) to join our branch team. This role is focused on delivering prompt, accurate, and welcoming service to members by processing financial transactions, answering questions, and identifying opportunities to connect members with additional products and services—especially digital and self-service solutions. As an MSR I, you will be a key part of creating a positive member experience by greeting members immediately, maintaining transaction accuracy, and supporting the Credit Union’s growth through relationship-building and referrals. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 12 months of experience in customer service and cash handling is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Comfort using computers, phones, calculators, and office equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Process daily teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer and correct discrepancies as they arise.
  • Buy and sell cash from the vault following established procedures.
  • Answer member questions and resolve routine issues at the teller line
  • Identify opportunities to recommend credit union products, services, and promotions.
  • Focus on electronic and digital services that help members self-serve.
  • Refer members to appropriate team members for more complex needs
  • Respond to member inquiries with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Perform operational tasks such as scanning documents, updating member records, processing mail payments, making night deposits, and making outbound calls.
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming branch environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support branch operations
  • Providing prompt, friendly, and accurate service to every member.
  • Immediately acknowledging and assisting members upon entry to the branch.
  • Maintaining accuracy and minimizing transaction errors.
  • Actively promoting products and services that meet member needs.
  • Adhering to all credit union policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
