About the role Provides high-quality member service and information about IAACU membership, products and services by phone, electronically and in person. Assists with credit union marketing efforts. Performs a wide range of transactional and marketing tasks in a credit union call center environment.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • This job operates in a credit union environment. Regularly communicates with and interacts with others, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, scanners and copy machines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Regularly works daytime and Saturday hours (on rotating basis) with occasional overtime.
  • Occasional, short periodic or overnight travel to participate in meetings or special events.

Responsibilities

  • Provides service and information in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Researches and solves member questions, problems, and complaints concerning credit union accounts.
  • Cross-sells IAACU products and services to incoming callers to meet individual, departmental and organizational goals.
  • Accurately and efficiently processes financial transactions (e.g., account transfers, loan and credit card payments).
  • Serves as primary contact for IAACU to assist members with all e-commerce requests/transactions through the Service Center.
  • Cross-trained to provide asssistance and backup to Plastic Card Department.
  • Assists in processing consumer loan applications by phone and providing follow-up outbound product calls and rate quotes as assigned.
  • Maintains current, comprehensive knowledge of credit union products and services and Service Center policies, procedures and regulations.
  • May assist with marketing campaigns, as assigned.
