About The Position

We're Hiring: Member Consultant — The Friendly Voice of Our Credit Union Do you love helping people, solving problems, and making someone’s day brighter — all without leaving your desk? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our team. We’re looking for a Member Consultant to be the first point of contact for our members, whether by phone or through virtual channels. You’ll answer questions, resolve issues, and connect members with the right solutions — all while providing top-notch service.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills — you can explain things clearly and kindly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills — you enjoy figuring things out and finding solutions.
  • Comfort with computers, internet, email, and other office tech.
  • A natural ability to build connections and make people feel welcome.
  • Discretion and professionalism — you understand the importance of confidentiality.
  • A positive attitude and self-starter mindset.
  • 1–3 years of similar or related experience (bonus points if it’s in a credit union or financial setting).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work an 8-hour day in an office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answering calls and virtual messages with warmth, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Solving problems and ensuring members feel supported and valued.
  • Spotting opportunities to recommend products and services that can improve members’ financial lives.
  • Keeping member account information accurate and up to date.
  • Making proactive outreach calls to check in and build relationships.
  • Working independently and as part of a supportive, fun-loving team.
  • Staying on top of new policies, services, and ways to help our members even more.
