About The Position
San Miguel Power Association, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused Member Billing Representative to support accurate billing operations and assist members with account and payment questions. This role is key to ensuring timely billing, account maintenance, and requires excellent customer service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong math, computer, and data accuracy skills (Excel helpful)
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Valid Colorado driver's license (or ability to obtain)
Nice To Haves
- Accounting coursework or at least 1 year of billing/accounts receivable experience preferred
- Prefer experience within the utility industry and specifically with San Miguel Power's billing software
Responsibilities
- Process monthly bills, adjustments, and payment drafts
- Maintain accurate member account records
- Respond to billing inquiries by phone, email, and online systems
- Monitor special billing programs (Budget Billing, Prepay, net metering, etc.)
- Assist with collections processes, reporting, and account research
