About The Position

Kitsap Credit Union is actively hiring for Member Associate I, II and III (teller/personal banker) positions all over the Kitsap area, including: Our East Bremerton branch. These positions are responsible for creating exceptional member experience while processing transactions, as well as offering and demonstrating all-digital, remote and self-service options.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
1 year of Financial Institution experience with New Accounts and Consumer Lending experience ( HE/HELOC experience preferred but not required)
1 year of cash handling, customer service, and/or retail sales experience
Must be registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) within 30 days of hire and comply with the SAFE Act regulations
Must be able to work Saturdays and extended business hours
Ability to work in-person at branches throughout Kitsap, Mason, and Pierce County
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines
The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, vendors and employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions
Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in buildings that require travel in outdoor weather conditions

Responsibilities

Assist members with their financial needs and transactions.
Identify, develop, and refer business relationships to build market position.
Educate and introduce current and new members to new products and services and assist in self-service options.
Foster and maintain constructive member relationships.
Review and maintain knowledge of products.
Understand and recommend products and services based on the member’s needs.
Participate in sales and community events to contribute to branch and credit union goals.
Use effective sales techniques that result in a positive member experience and meet or exceed sales goals.
Maintain knowledge and adhere to operational, regulatory, security, and compliance standards.
Accept and process all financial transactions accurately.
Maintain responsibility and follows proper balancing procedures.
Promote and effectively demonstrate digital, remote and self-serve options, with continual education as new products and digital services are introduced.
Proactively generate new memberships through branch sales activities.
Identify and contribute new ideas and methods to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of processes and procedures
Meet or exceed referral and sales goals
Provide guidance, training, and support to junior team members
Assist members and non-members in opening share, new accounts, and basic lending
