Requirements

Manufacturing experience is preferred
Ability to Stand – frequent to continuous.
Ability to Walk – occasional to frequent.
Ability to Bend/stoop – occasional.
Ability to squat/kneel – occasional.
Ability to Lift/push and pull are required.
Working conditions include heat, smoke, and dust. Must wear PPE.

Responsibilities

Perform pressure pour tender, converter truck driver, and additional melt duties as required.
Assist in or perform refractory repairs on furnace, ladles, spouts, etc.
Assist Melter and assist Melter with operations, operational maintenance, and de-slagging of furnace.
Notify supervisor or any quality, mechanical or delay problems and take corrective action as instructed.
Perform crane operations with the ability to meet production requirements.
Participate in area continuous
Utilize delay time constructively by doing housekeeping or other area improvement activities.
Exhibit superior safety practices every day, always evidenced by outstanding housekeeping.
Exceed customer quality and service expectation through attention to detail.
