Nucor Steel – Hertford County is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Process Engineer at the caster. Principal duties of the successful candidate shall include but are not limited to improving safety and housekeeping in the area and participating in all aspects of metallurgical and process analysis and optimization. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist with long-term and short-term improvement projects and handling day-to-day operational issues. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • 4-year technical degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent of at least 5 years medium to thick slab casting experience.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
