What this job involves: The Meeting Services Support Associate plays a vital role in ensuring seamless meeting and event experiences across JLL-managed facilities. This position combines meticulous inspection duties with hands-on event setup to create exceptional environments for clients and their guests. You'll be responsible for maintaining meeting room readiness, managing AV equipment inventory, and executing complex event setups across a three-building campus. This role directly supports JLL's commitment to delivering memorable human experiences by ensuring every meeting space is perfectly configured and technically equipped to meet client expectations while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. What your day-to-day will look like:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state equivalent education
  • Physical ability to move and lift 50 lbs while setting up and tearing down folding tables and chairs
  • Capability to frequently walk throughout buildings and navigate stairs regularly
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for professional reporting
  • Excellent customer service abilities and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with computer equipment and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience in banquet setup, AV support, or meeting room configuration
  • AV training or certification credentials
  • Experience working in commercial facility or hospitality environments
  • Knowledge of event planning and venue management best practices
  • Previous experience with inventory management systems
  • Background in customer-facing roles requiring collaborative teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily and weekly meeting room inspections, documenting results using mobile devices
  • Print and post daily meeting room schedules to ensure accurate space utilization
  • Maintain comprehensive AV asset inventory database, tracking equipment locations and ID numbers
  • Move, set up, arrange, and break down tables and chairs according to daily flexible seating requirements
  • Transport and configure portable AV equipment across the campus of three buildings
  • Execute complete setup and teardown of special event venues including tables, chairs, linens, skirting, AV equipment, and cabling
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and clients while following supervisor direction
