About The Position

Valiant is looking for a Medium Truck Driver to join our Team! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates vehicles with trailers to transport personnel and cargo over specified routes to local or distant points according to requirements. Loads and secures cargo ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and vehicle capability. Performs operator level inspections and maintenance on assigned vehicles (includes tow vehicle and trailer) and equipment. Performs other duties in accordance with Mission Support Requirements as directed. Must be able to comprehend detailed instructions and be at the pick-up or drop-off sites at the specified times given. Required to navigate either assisted with a GPS or unassisted using a road map, aerial photos, or a 1/50000 square military map and protractor to plot specific grids given. Required to operate the assigned vehicle in a safe manner over various road conditions to include unimproved roadways in restricted terrain. Frequently uses mobile radio communications. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Proficient in standard military terminologies and radio procedures.
  • Must obtain or be able to obtain a Class D Chauffer’s License within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be able to pass the health physical required to obtain and maintain a Class D Chauffer’s License.
  • Must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US, and foreign countries.
  • Individual must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
  • Individual must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, be in good physical condition, and able to work outside.
  • Must be able to work shift work and weekends.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable company Background Check.
  • Must be able to work day/night shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • 12 months experience driving with Class D Chauffer’s License or higher.
  • Proficient in standard military terminologies and radio procedures.
