About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Medication History Technician for our Inpatient team at Princess Anne Hospital Location: Onsite- Princess Anne Hospital - Virginia Beach, VA Status: Full Time (36 Hours/wk) Shift: 12 hours Shifts (Rotating 11am-11:30pm & 8:30am-9pm) Weekend: Every 3rd-4th Weekend Holiday Rotation Hours may vary outside of listed hours to meet Pharmacy staffing needs The Pharmacy Tech performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
  • 1 Years Pharmacy Experience (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Preferred)
  • Medication History Tech Experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities
