About The Position

The Medicare Plan Liaison is a caring and energetic individual passionate about serving seniors, understanding their healthcare needs and improving their quality of life. The position is highly specialized and requires understanding of the Medicare system. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent training/experience.
  • Minimum two years of Medicare sales or Medicare benefits advisory work.
  • Strong interest in the insurance industry is essential.
  • Self-directed with proven ability to assume responsibility, work independently, meet deadlines and prioritize with minimum supervision.
  • Experience with managed care and Medi-Cal.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers and participants.
  • Excellent phone presence and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Bilingual in Spanish is REQUIRED for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Outreach to eligible patients to engage potential clients and inform them of the benefits of enrolling in Medicare benefits.
  • Organize and conduct presentations and assist eligible beneficiaries to enroll, including conducting a needs assessment to best explain product offerings.
  • Work with preferred Medicare agents to ensure a seamless and worry-free transition to Medicare.
  • Develop strategies to maximize membership growth, including meeting Medicare enrollment goals as well as individual performance goals.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on questions, issues and concerns from beneficiaries, members, and Medicare agent.
  • Understand and remain current on CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines and with California specific Medicare-Medicaid Plans Medicare Marketing Guidelines.
  • Understand all services and specialties offered by FTOC.
  • Address member questions, concerns, grievances, or requests for services in accordance with FTOC policies and procedures and guidelines, including appropriate documentation and communication with other departments.
  • Identify issues and trends (data, systems, beneficiary, member, other) as well as general departmental questions/concerns and report relevant information to management; make recommendations.
  • Attend and actively participate in daily/weekly//monthly meetings.
  • Provide the highest quality of service with the overall goal of bringing peace of mind to our members in a caring and compassionate manner
  • Conduct regular communication with new and existing members using various methods to improve retention and generate referrals.
