About The Position

Transports patients (internally and externally), equipment, supplies and other items to and from all hospital departments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• BLS Certified by American Heart Association (Obtain within 3 months of hire)
• Possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License and meet auto insurability requirements approved by Phoebe Putney Health System's insurance company

Nice To Haves

• 1 year experience in medical transport, whether external or internal transport.
• Other experience includes positions within a hospital or healthcare setting or customer service institution.

• Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
• For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
• Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
