About The Position

FlexStaff is hiring a Temp to Perm Med Tech to join our clients, Team. This is a
night shift into evening rotating role working in the Blood Bank Department in a
Hospital Setting.

Hours: Monday-Friday 12:00a.m to 8: 00p.m  (time varies) with alternating
weekends.

Pay: $51.00 - $63.00 per hour

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Position Summary: Utilizes independent judgment in performing both routine and
complex laboratory tests for physician's use in the diagnosis and treatment of
disease. Works with minimal supervision. Assists in providing guidance and
instruction to new employees, students as scheduled

Formal Education This position requires a minimum formal education of associate
degree or certification equivalent and Job-Related and minimum of 1-year
job-related experience.

Experience     Desired (not required) criteria include Baccalaureate degree in
Medical Technology or a related field plus, 1 year training (6 months in Blood
Bank) and 1-2 years' experience or hold applicable NYC CQ as of 6/30/94 and has
worked as a medical technologist at least 3 years since 1989.

 License, New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Registration, or Cert.
Required 

Comments   Board-registered with one of national registries associated with
laboratory practice (NCA, ASCP,

    etc.) preferred.
