About The Position

Performs routine Laboratory testing. Obtains and prepares patient specimens. Performs diagnostic Laboratory tests and procedures on body fluids and other specimens using both manual and automated methods of analysis. Reviews, assesses, and interprets test results. Accurately reports results along with relevant information pertaining to the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of disease. Assesses all preanalytical, analytical, and post-analytical variables of the testing process to assure the accuracy of the results reported.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Life Science, or equivalent
• Current registration or eligible for registration as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or equivalent.
• Goo organization, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to evaluate test results and recognize abnormal or contradictory results.
• Ability to concentrate on fine detail with frequent interruptions.
