About The Position

Coordinates Point of Care systems and provides administrative and clinical support as required. Works collaboratively with various departments to define and communicate Point of Care (POC) specifications, changes, and programs. What you will do Defines and communicates POC specifications, changes, and problems. Investigates, troubleshoots, and analyzes system problems, requests for changes and/or enhancements in a timely manner. Coordinates the installation and upgrades of assigned systems/modules. • Collects, compiles, and analyzes data for quality control and proficiency. • Interacts with staff to assure training and competency of assigned assays and systems. • Prepares or assists in the preparation of user documentation and operations/training manuals in accordance with established format. Assists with the design and implementation of computer downtime and recovery procedures. • Provides technical direction and assistance to users to provide continuous operations of information systems. Provides follow-up and project/status updates to keep users informed of system activities/issues. • Coordinates and conducts user training programs. Serves as administrative liaison; works collaboratively with information technology, hospital/medical staff, vendors, training and development and others in a customer responsive/professional manner and in compliance with iRESPECT standards to coordinate and implement activities. Prepares and maintains required records, reports and files for operational, administrative and compliance purposes. Maintains knowledge of best practices, current trends and developments in the field by maintaining professional certifications, reading appropriate articles, journals, and other literature, and attending seminars, conferences, and so forth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree of Science in chemistry, biology, science, or Medical Lab Technology Required
  • Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician or Technologist
  • TN State licensure as Medical Laboratory Technologist within 120 Days Required

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years experience in specified area Preferred
