About The Position

The Medical Team Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring each student receives timely, appropriate, and well-coordinated healthcare. From medication management, medical and dental visits, to specialty services like physical therapy and lab work, this position oversees the full continuum of healthcare logistics which includes managing the medication supply and distribution to students, arranging transportation for appointments, as well as communicating information back to the parents and medical team. Serving as the key liaison between providers, families, insurance companies, and the Alpine team, the Medical Team Coordinator helps translate medical needs into real-time action and collaborative communication. This position also supports broader medical operations, stepping in as needed to assist with day-to-day health-related responsibilities that keep students safe, stable, and thriving.

Requirements

  • Pass Background Check with a Residential Treatment level of clearance at all times (Background Check provided upon hire)
  • Valid drivers license and Motor Vehicle Report indicates a safe driving record
  • Familiarity with medical appointment logistics, documentation, and communication procedures
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask, and coordinate complex logistics across multiple parties
  • Clear, professional, and compassionate communication with parents, staff, providers, and students
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, medical terminology, and insurance procedures
  • Ability to interpret and relay medical information accurately and responsibly
  • Competence in scheduling, documentation, and follow-through on healthcare-related processes
  • Confidence transporting youth to medical appointments safely and respectfully
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Friendly, patient, and supportive demeanor when interacting with frontline staff and students
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive medical information
  • Willingness to step into various roles and support broader health operations when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience coordinating healthcare or working in a medical administrative role
  • Preferred experience working with youth, particularly in a behavioral health or residential setting
  • Preferred understanding of insurance processes, prior authorizations, and provider communications
