About The Position

Under general supervision, demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contributes to the nursing assessment and the development of the nursing care plan, and participates in the evaluation of nursing care, in accordance with established philosophy. WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO THE FOLLOWING STUDER PHILOSOPHIES AND PRINCIPLES: • HCAPS Patient Perception • Hourly Rounding with intention • Bedside Shift Report • AIDET • Daily Huddles

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Self-directing, able to work with little direct supervision.
• Empathy for the needs of patients.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate through spoken and written English.
• Treats patients and others with courtesy and respect, presenting a positive public image.
• Works well as a team member.
• Ensures confidentiality and security of patients' medical information.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Must hold current license by the state of Kentucky or hold license in a compact state as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification - American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.
• One year experience in Nursing/Surgery preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
