The Loma Linda VA Health Care System (LLVAHCS) is seeking dedicated Medical Support Assistants (MSAs) to join our Health Administration Service team. This position is crucial in providing exceptional customer service to our Veterans and ensuring their needs are met efficiently. MSAs will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks that support the delivery of high-quality health care services. The LLVAHCS is committed to delivering compassionate and innovative health care, and MSAs play a vital role in this mission by facilitating communication between patients and health care providers. In this fast-paced environment, MSAs will interact with both internal and external customers, ensuring overall satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving. Typical duties include answering and returning calls to Veterans and provider offices, scheduling and managing patient appointments, entering no-show information, and monitoring outpatient appointments. MSAs will also be responsible for obtaining medical information from patients, coordinating care-related actions, and verifying and updating patient demographics and insurance information. This role requires a proactive approach to patient care and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This is a full-time position, and telework is not eligible. The LLVAHCS does not authorize relocation or recruitment incentives for this role, and a financial disclosure report is not required. Candidates must be prepared to participate in mandatory health programs, including the seasonal influenza vaccination and the COVID-19 vaccination program, as part of their employment requirements.
