About The Position

Vighter is recruiting multiple Medical Support Assistants (MSAs) to provide medical service and medical support with our client in Minneapolis, Minnesota! The MSA provides day to day administrative support to organizations with routine services in staffing, pay, benefits, leave, retirement, employee relations, labor relations, development, compliance, and other functional areas of human resources work. The contractor shall perform a full range of MSA duties: customer service, maintain appointment schedules for one or more clinics, operate office equipment, deliver messages, be knowledgeable of business standards and/or operating procedures within each respective clinic, assist with clinic access by adjusting appointment times/locations/dates as well as shift patients to other healthcare providers if there is a conflict with clinical staffing and/or coverage.

Requirements

  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.
  • Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the job requirements, including ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Have familiarity with administrative functions in medical, clinical, and outpatient operations.
  • Basic or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS / ACLS) certification.
  • Must be able to sit for more than 8 hours per day.
  • Must be willing to work overtime if necessary.
  • Must be able, with advance notice, to float to sites within 20 miles.
  • Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 10 feet.
  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.
  • Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation.
  • Must undergo Urine Drug Screening (UDS).
  • Positions require applicants to be US Citizens, 21 years or older.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience in same or similar role is preferred but not required.

  • Functional proficiency and ability to document patient-centered health care in the required electronic health record or electronic medical record, in the required format, in a timely manner, and in compliance with contract policy and guidance.
  • An unshakeable adherence to quality and continuous process improvement.
  • Knowledge of regulations (HIPAA/Privacy Act) regarding the confidentiality of patient medical records and information as well as Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
  • Other duties as assigned.
