About The Position

The Jersey City, New Jersey Community Based Outpatient Clinic is currently recruiting for one Medical Support Assistant (Advanced). The AMSA participates in daily team meetings where the group reviews an individual's medical care requirements and formulate a health care plan for delivering the utmost optimal level of health care in the appropriate setting. the incumbent s instrumental by finding solutions within his/her scope of responsibility to resolve patients medical needs or expedite delivery of patients medical healthcare. Advanced knowledge of policies and procedures associated with interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery and/or care in the community operational activities that affect patient flow, and patient support care administrative functions to include, but not limited to appointment cycles, outside patient referrals, follow-up care, overbooking, provider availability, etc. Ability to collaborate and communicate with a wide range of medical clinicians across multiple disciplines (e.g. medical doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, clinical pharmacists, and nursing staff) to accomplish team goal setting to ensure medical care to patients is met. Incumbent is responsible for utilizing a comprehensive, organized, program to review and identify opportunities for improvement to achieve excellence in the quality and safety of the care, treatment, and services provided to patients. AMSA performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
