About The Position

First Choice Health Centers is looking for a Medical Site Coordinator (Clinical MA) to work alongside our Clinical and Operations team at our 478 Burnside Ave. East Hartford location to provide oversight for the daily operations of the medical site, ensuring the staff, equipment and schedules are well-managed. This position directly supervises the site team of Medical Assistants and Receptionists. Why First Choice? We are committed to you! Primarily a Monday through Friday schedule working 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. There is one late night until 6 pm but you will get out on Friday at 3 pm. The hourly range for this position is $22.00 - $27.50/hour. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • At least three (3) years of Medical Assistant; outpatient care experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain smooth operations of the facilities administration, scheduling and patient admissions.
  • Supervise and train the medical office staff including Medical Assistants and front desk reception staff.
  • Perform real-time coaching of Operations staff including completion of 90 day and annual performance evaluations.
  • Establish work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space, and equipment availability.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Senior Practice Administrator to provide updates on clinic performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage patients according to approved protocols and consistent with appointment and scheduling guidelines.
  • Medical Assistant clinical duties as needed based on staffing volumes.
  • Adhere to all patient safety standards and infection control guidelines.
