About The Position

Medical Scribes work alongside healthcare providers (physicians, PAs, NPs) in the Emergency Department (ED) to document patient visits into the electronic medical record system in real-time. Essential Scribe offers a paid position with paid training, providing valuable clinical experience and an extensive understanding of medical terminology and clinical information. This role offers on-the-job clinical exposure and hours, making it ideal for individuals pursuing or interested in a healthcare career. No prior experience is required, as Essential Scribe provides a thorough and supportive training program. Scribes will work in an environment surrounded by mentors and receive ongoing continuing education.

Requirements

  • College degree, or current enrollment in a 2-4 year program
  • Minimum of 2-4 shifts a week
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to clearly communicate, orally and in writing
  • Responsible and mature individual with a passion for healthcare and learning
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Minimum typing speed of 65 WPM
  • Comfortable with computers
