Job Description: Astera's Urology group is seeking a medical scribe on a full-time basis. This position will be based in our Denville, NJ location.

Requirements

At least 1 year of working in a medical office, preferably urology.
Competence in Microsoft applications.
Knowledgeable in medical terminology and medical records.
Knowledge of EMR Systems.

Responsibilities

Take medical histories.
Accompany physicians into the patient examination room to transcribe a history and physical exam.
List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
Document any procedures performed by the physician.
