Medical Scribe w. Medical Assistant skills
About The Position
The Florida Urology Partners team is growing and we hope that you want to join us on this exciting journey! We are looking for a medical scribe that also has medical assistant skills. The primary duties for the medical scribe are to: document the patient encounter and coordinate subsequent care. You will be assigned to a physician and will shadow the physician as they see patients. This position is a dynamic, full-time position with tremendous opportunity to grow and expand the scope of practice within our organization. Florida Urology Partners is a fast-paced, hands-on work environment. Self-starters and well-organized individuals are encouraged to apply. Accompany the physician into the exam room in order to document each patient's interaction with the doctor. Scribes will use the Electronic Health Record (EPIC) system in real-time to provide clinical data as needed during patient encounters. Serve as a liaison with our MA, Front Desk, medical office team to coordinate patient care after each encounter. Medical Assistant skills such taking blood pressure, weight and general triage skills
Requirements
- Excellent spelling
- Experience using medical terminology
- Past experience in a medical office or as a scribe desired
- Proper grammar and punctuation
- Experience navigating EHR systems, Epic experience desired
Nice To Haves
- Epic EHR experience desired
- Bilingual English/Spanish is desired but not required
