SCOPE: Under direct supervision, the Medical Records Technician supports the management of patient information by organizing, sorting, and filing all incoming and outgoing records. This role involves preparing and maintaining patient charts for scheduled visits, as well as locating, retrieving, and delivering medical records or electronic medical records as needed. The Medical Records Technician consistently adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards, and demonstrates a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy to safeguard both patients and the organization.
