About The Position
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a fulltime Medical Records Director to join our team at Vandalia Correctional Center located in Vandalia, Illinois. The Medical Records Director at Vandalia Correctional Center is responsible for directing, planning, coordinating, and administering the written and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) program. This professional is responsible for supervising and managing department operations and maintaining a complete, accurate healthcare record while supervising the medical records staff and maintaining the confidentiality of the healthcare records. Compensation for this role is determined by RHIT certification; $36/hour for non-certified and $38/hour for certified candidates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in medical records setting required
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Medical terminology knowledge and/or medical terminology course completion preferred
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred
